On Sunday, we met Bridgette, our photographer, at the park before the sun was all the way up. We bribed the girls in to their Halloween costumes, and followed them around the park for an hour and half while Bridgette snapped away in the cool morning air.
These pictures have become our annual tradition. Every year since Camdyn was 9 months old, we've taken her to Sears to have her picture taken in her Halloween costume. This provides me with a memory of what she wore that year, and I can also gage how much she changed in that one year, because the pictures are always taken at the same time. This year, we decided to skip the studio and hire a real photographer. Photographing toddlers in a studio is a nightmare, and Sears is always hit or miss - usually the pictures are only as good as the person taking them, sometimes they are adequate and sometimes they are a waste of time.
Bridgette did an amazing job catching some fleeting moments. Click Here to see our pictures.
Do you have a favorite? I'm having a really hard time picking out my faves!
Thanks, Bridgette for handling my squirrelly girls so brilliantly!

These look great! What a neat tradition.
Great pictures! And I LOVE the costumes too! :-D I think my favorite pictures are the ones of the girls with the bubbles. I also really like the one of the 4 of you with the tree.
We set out to do costume pictures, and ended up not putting the costumes on. I started out with second thoughts about the costume thing because Rylie was complaining about the elastic in hers and Bryce's is long sleeved and it was hot. So when we got there I just decided to let them run around the pumpkin patch in their Halloween t-shirts. I think everyone had a much better time than we would have if I had attempted the costumes. ;-)
LOL like LeeAnn I love bubble photos. These turned out awesome! Also I SOOO want Camdyn's shoes Ericka has been eying ones just like that! Sketchers I believe it said yes?
What great photos Carol! The all came out awesome. The girls look adorable in their tutu's. I love the group shots, especially the one with all of you walking away :)
They turned out great!! I have several favorites!! We'll have to look at them together so I can point them ALL out! :) Love em'!
i love the ones with the blanket- and the ones where you're walking/holding hands- and the one on the swing (of you 2)
yeah- too many!!! i don't know how you're going to pick :)
What a gorgeous set of photos Carol. I absolutely LOVE them! What a great photographer. The colors just pop. I watched through them twice and couldn't for the life of me pick a best one. You've inspired me. The kids are Princess and the Frog this year. I should be sure to get some fun shots of them together. You guys are all so gorgeous in yours.
The photos turned out so well! I love that Cam has lost her two front teeth! One that sticks out in my mind that I smiled extra hard at was the one with the girls sitting on top of something and Cam has her legs all pretzeled up while her and Chloe are grinning from ear to ear! I had never seen a picture of Chloe smiling so hard! Precious. Loved the last one with Chloe in her witch hat too! Oh- and you and Chris on the swing was sweet! I could go on and on... :)
um, hello?! how could i possibly pick just one? those are so stinking adorable! i love the one with you all walking away.. and the one where she's on her hands and knees looking down... and the family shots... seriously, i can't pick one! those are just so cute! thanks for your words of encouragement today! it appears miss esme is done nursing, the little stinker!
