Wordless Wednesday - New Moon

I took this photo the night of the total lunar eclipse.  Ashley from Ramblings and Photos was kind enough to give me some shooting the moon tips, which I applied here.  Then, I awoke at 3 am and found that I was unable to meter on the dark orange and ominous eclipse.  At least my first moon shot was successful.

Nicely done. One of my secrets is that I will use a high pass filter on my edits to bring out the detail in the moon. Although, you did a really nice job with it.

Great job, Carol! Do I see a man in the moon with sunglasses (maybe because of the eclipse and all) and a C-shaped nose? Look again!
