I have to be honest...this isn't much of a "holiday" in our household. V day lost its relevance somewhere between conception and baby #2. Although, it is my Momma's 20-something wedding anniversary -
Happy Anniversary Mom!
So, today is like any other day...only the kids wore red, and hearts, and I sent them to school with Valentines in their bags, and a bunch of bowls for their ice cream party today. I will probably pick the Hubs up a card, in which I'll write way too many words, and I'll get the girls a balloon, and if we are really lucky we'll order dinner out after the kids are in bed.
We'll say our "I Love Yous" and we'll appreciate each other like we do every day, no big fanfare, no gifts exchanged, just a few extra words after "I Love You, Good Night...Happy Valentine's Day."
In the spirit of Valentine's Day the girls held hands from their car seats on the way to school this morning. ::Heart Melt:: And, that's all the Valentine's Day gift I need.

That sounds like how we celebrate it. The hand holding is to die for, LOVE that you got a photo. I know when my kids smile and are overly nice to each other it is better then anything in the world.
That is so sweet :) I hope the family has a fun night together !
That is such a sweet photo!!! We don't make a big deal of Valentine's Day either. I did surprise the hubby with his favorite lunch. But otherwise, a normal happy day. If he ever subscribed to the wave of jewelry or expensive gifts, I would be so mad! That's not the point of it at all!!
We're not big on the holiday either but my hubs still wants to take me out to dinner and I bought him a card. That seemed simple enough...I mean, we would do that anyways.
What a great photo of the girls! We don't do a whole lot either. It's more out of peer pressure than anything else.
You do waay more than we do :D ha, ha, ha.
My husband and I didn't even get cards for each other, and the boys also did not get anything. I figured the school Valentine's party is enough.
Agreed, that pic is gift enought. So sweet!
So, so sweet. Happy Valentines day to you too!
I think that is a great way to spend Valentine's Day :) Glad you enjoyed it for it's true meaning. And 'happy anniversary' to your Mom :)
No big fanfare at my house either. Rylie took her goodie bags to pass out at school, and then took one to her "boyfriend" next door when we got home. She did say "Happy Valentine's Day" to us several times, and it was so cute.
I LOVE the picture! Adorable!
Happy Anniversary to your mom!
Ahhh thanks for your cool comments on my blog today. You made me smile from cheek to cheek!
Carol- the picture of the girls is priceless! I LOVE it! You are right- that had to have been the best V-Day/Schmeee Day present ever! So cute!
I hope you had a fun night! That's so sweet that the girls held hands!
