It was a very sad day but one that I think strengthened us as a country. Definitely a big day in our history and one I will never forget.Sassyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14400003894605006561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3267032086124825680.post-87989876651062272142011-09-16T12:58:00.050-04:002011-09-16T12:58:00.050-04:00I read this post a few days ago and forgot to comm...I read this post a few days ago and forgot to comment. You were able to capture a lot of emotion in your writing. Definitely something that will help share history with Cam and Chloe when they get old enough to understand..... :)Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04604178614376755255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3267032086124825680.post-12256131868208511542011-09-15T14:46:10.178-04:002011-09-15T14:46:10.178-04:00You captured a lot of history and emotion in this ...You captured a lot of history and emotion in this post. I remember exactly where I was too. In the church office. Two women met in the hallway in front of my office, hugged and cried, the mother and grandmother of a marine. It was a moving day, and this post captured it. Well done.

I don't mean to switch gears too much here but ... did you husband play pro baseball?Warren Baldwinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17956713921509659993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3267032086124825680.post-78390958937201330702011-09-13T12:34:56.957-04:002011-09-13T12:34:56.957-04:00So touching and still so incredibly sad. There are days I can forget 9/11 but the families of the victims will live with it forever. But the way we rallied together is something I will also never forget. I tried to explain to Christopher in the simplest terms, not sure that he will ever be able to grasp the magnitude of that day. But I know I will never be able to explain the 'why' when he asks :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08633343164367305564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3267032086124825680.post-27567631189581214932011-09-12T15:50:41.139-04:002011-09-12T15:50:41.139-04:00My heart still breaks over that day. I asked him why and told me to just turn it on. That is when I saw one of the burning twin towers. I remember watching the T.V. as the second plan hit the second tower. It was horrible. I stayed glued to the T.V. for the rest of the day. I will never forget.Rochelle@AFamilyofLooneyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04605268552555514174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3267032086124825680.post-67898182995810916022011-09-12T15:19:07.116-04:002011-09-12T15:19:07.116-04:00That was such an awful, awful day.
